Having read over 140 books so far this year, I was thinking about which were the best books.  I made a list of the top books that have inspired me and impacted my thinking, and I want to share this list with you!

#6 – Right Turns:  The 30 Navigational Decisions Leading Pastors Make in Growing the Church by Dick Hardy
This book serves as a guide to 30 different issues you will face as a pastor in categories such as leadership, family, personal issues, staffing, and criticism. You can do what you’ve always done, or you can give a critical eye to how you can be better as the pastor of the great church you serve.

#5 – To Sell is Human by Daniel Pink
Whether we’re working to gather staff support for your ideas, convince a stubborn board of elders / deacons, influence our congregation to live a biblical lifestyle, or cajole our children to study, we spend our days trying to move others. Like it or not, we’re all in sales now. Pink gives us a fresh look at the art and science of selling.
