Three Questions You Should Ask Yourself to Follow Up with New Believers

Like I mentioned yesterday, we’re making plans and preparing for our Big Day this fall at The Journey. We are excited to rally together as a church and reach more people for Christ!

But after the Big Day, we need to have a system on how to follow up with those people who make a first-time decision to follow Christ. We need a way to be sure we retain the fruit of our Big Day and have “no new believer left behind.”

As some of you know, I love systems! So The Journey has a system on how we follow up with new believers. A good New Believer system must have three vital components.

You must ask yourself the following questions:

1) What is your plan for people to be born again before it happens?

2) What is your plan for people during the New Birth?

3) What is your plan for people after the New Birth?

A good new believer follow-up is clear about what the person does:

At the time of salvation
Within the first hour of salvation
Within the first day of salvation
Within the first week of salvation
Within the first month of salvation
