Living a Life Worthy of Your Calling (Thursdays are for Health)

51vgqldEQML“I’m reminded of Paul’s admonition for us to live a life worthy of the calling we have received (Ephesians 4:1). When a body struggling from the consequences of poor health choices ensnares you, you can’t live a life worthy of your calling; you can’t run the race with endurance. What you eat or fail to eat, how much you exercise or fail to exercise, how much you rest or don’t rest, how well you handle stress or don’t handle it – all of these things may happen in private, but their effects are evident to the on-looking world.

Because we are surrounded, we have a responsibility to live well – not only for our own sakes, but also for all of those who are looking to our example.”

– Nelson Searcy, Steve Reynolds & Jennifer Dykes Henson
