Lessons Learned from Dr. Elmer Towns (Part 2)

Elmer conference

At the Renegade Pastors Conference in Orlando, Dr. Elmer Towns captivated the undivided attention of 170 pastors from many different states and backgrounds.  As champion of “spiritual breakthroughs,” Dr. Towns has established himself as a well-respected advocate for achieving church growth through effective organization and leadership.

In the second part of this series of Lessons Learned from Dr. Elmer Towns I am sharing with you a little bit about how Dr. Towns perceives Faith.

What Is The Essence of Faith?

“Belief is more than mental awareness or deep feelings that God will do something that He has promised.  Faith is knowing God and confident that He exists.”

I hope: I believe this plan will help me lose weight.
I plan: I believe I will lose weight if I take these pills.
I am confident: I believe cutting calories will help me lose weight.
I know: fasting will make me lose weight.

Faith is not measure by your intellect, emotion or will or how much you know.  It’s not how deeply you feel, or how decisive you act.  Faith is measured by God and His ability to do what you ask.  Faith is dependent on the integrity of God.

3 Steps To Grow Your Faith:

  1. Pray.  “Increase our faith” (Luke 17:5).  You can’t build your faith on prayer alone; you can’t build your faith without prayer.
  2. Bible.  “Faith cometh by hearing . . . the Word of God” (Rom. 1:17).
  3. Obedience and exercise.  “Oh thou of little faith” (Matt. 14:31).

There were many more insightful lessons given by Dr. Towns and other guest speakers. This was an absolutely phenomenal Renegade Pastors Conference – the best event we’ve had yet – and I don’t want to keep these church leader essentials a secret.

The amount of requests for the information shared at the Renegade Pastors Conference were so many that I convinced my team to go ahead and release the unedited recordings and make these available – but it’s just for a limited time and to a limited number of pastors.

Because we don’t normally make these recordings available to pastors outside the network, I can only limit this opportunity to the first 99 pastors who respond. That means this sale may end BEFORE Tuesday, March 18th – don’t put this off!
