This week I am giving you some tips on managing your life and calendar the way God intended you to.

If you’ve been married for more than a year, you know that you’ve got to schedule time with your spouse.

We all pursued our spouses before we were married, and then we stopped pursuing them after we’re married. We call it “taking them for granted” – and I’m speaking to both men and women here – we ALL can take our spouses for granted from time to time.

But you want to continue the same kind of pursuit after marriage as before marriage. Just as you would pursue them in dating, you pursue them with a date night.

Then take some of that creativity that you use to plan worship services and use that to plan your date night. Creativity is important.

A little romance is important, and it does wane.  Romance tends to peak in couples in their 20s, and then it comes back later when couples are in their 60s. So let’s try to close that gap.

Part of having a date night is just intentionality.  You have to intentionally schedule this time.

You can also transfer this idea to time with your children and grandchildren.  But most importantly, you have to intentionally schedule this block of time with them.
