Each month I host a call for members of my Renegade Pastors Network where they have the opportunity to ask me questions directly and get answers to any issues they’re facing.
Q: This question comes to us from a senior pastor in Clovis, CA who recently listened to The New Believer Seminar. He asks about the follow-up packets that are mentioned and would like to know: Is there a suggested format to follow?
A: Great question, and we actually just reviewed this at Boot Camp. When someone checks on their connection card that they want to take that next step and become a follower of Jesus, on Monday we send this packet out. It includes six items: a printed letter from the campus pastor, a certificate that they can bring to the resource table for a free Bible, a copy of a DVD called What Does it Mean to Be a Christian?, a brochure on baptism, postcard on the upcoming sermon series and a book that I wrote called The Next Step For Your Journey. We also do email follow-up and some phone calls as well. It’s a six-month process. We do have an opportunity for you to secure the rights and files for the Next Step For Your Journey book and publish your own version for your follow-up packet. Your partner in ministry,
Nelson
P.S. – In our monthly calls, we discuss not only the practical nuts and bolts of applying new leadership skills to your ministry, but also take the time to address the health of other areas of your personal life to ensure all aspects of your life and ministry are aligned and healthy!
Pastors in this network have made a commitment to not play it safe but rather put a dent in Hell.
So, are you ready to go Renegade?
