Do We Need A Board As We Get Started? (Church Planting)

One of the questions I was unable to deal with in my church planting handbook LAUNCH: STARTING A NEW CHURCH FROM SCRATCH is the question of starting a board of directors in your new church.

Here’s some great wisdom from Master Mentor Bobb Biehl – check out this 3 minute video:

At The Journey, as an almost decade-old church, we still have fewer board members than he suggest (currently 5) and I’m very happy with our board, which is made up of pastors both on our staff and pastors outside our church. Our church is pastor-led and so is our board.

Hope this is helpful!
