In the first part of this four part series, I shared my equation on personal growth.
As I was reflecting on that equation, I was reminded of something I’d once heard: Failure is a few errors in judgment repeated every day.
If you go too long in life making these little errors and you don’t make time to stop, evaluate, reflect, adjust, fix and improve, then over time those few errors in judgment will be repeated often enough that you will fail. To stop this cycle, you need to make time to reflect.
When to Reflect
- Weekly Sabbath – God gives us guidance here on this day to reflect. Look back over the previous six days and evaluate what went right and what went wrong.
- Annual markers. Natural times throughout the year when you want to build in some reflection in your life. For example, your birthday and the start of the year are good markers.
Tune in next week when I share seven key areas of reflection.
