As your time goes, so goes your life.
There’s no way to fulfill the purposes God has for you unless you steward your time wisely. You can’t create more of this limited commodity, but you can learn to utilize what you have been given in a way that propels you to a higher level of living.
Pray, “God, what is the best use of my time right now?” Can you imagine how effective you could become if you allowed God to direct your time?
According to James, if you need wisdom about something, all you need to do is ask God, and He will give it to you (see James 1:5). What if, before diving blindly into your to-do list, you were to say, “God, what’s the best use of my day? What’s the best use of this hour?”
Try writing this prayer out on a notecard or a Post-It and keeping it on your desk so that you see it several times throughout the day. Let it be a reminder to surrender the clock to God. Take the opportunity He has given you to partner with Him in crafting your time for His glory.
Tune in next week when I share another helpful tip with a few practical examples that will save you loads of time.
