The Big Day is one of the best ways to pull people from the community.  It gets the community to come to you AND gets your church to go into the community.  Now, that’s Evangelism!

And using Big Days is just a part of cooperating with God’s plan, and the way that God has worked all throughout history and will continue to work.  He not only started everything on a Big Day and started the church on a Big Day, but he will wrap up his whole plan you read in Revelation on a big day… a REALLY Big Day!

But more than just the biblical basis of the Big Day, there are other reasons you should use a Big Day in your church.

1) Do a Big Day to reach new people – The purpose of the Big Day is to bring new unchurched people to your church, not get Christians from other churches!

2) Do a Big Day to make the devil mad/glorify God – The devil wants to keep hell populated and keep non-Christians from The Gospel.  So when you do a Big Day and reach a lot of  non-Christians, that makes the devil mad.

3) Do a Big Day to grow the Christians in your church – A Big Day shakes Christians out of their comfort zone and mobilizes them to do something they should be doing every single day of the week– sharing their faith.

4) Do a Big Day to build momentum in your church –  You have to do something to get off the static line.  If you aren’t reaching new people, you probably never do.  Momentum is a church leader’s best friend!

At The Journey, we’re making plans and preparing for our Big Day.  This is one of my favorites times of the year as we rally together as a church to reach more people for Christ.
