To experience all that God wants to do at your church this Easter, you and your fellow church leaders need to prepare spiritually for God to move in a powerful way.
With that in mind, here are four helpful steps as you Fast and Pray for Easter:
1- Begin now to communicate the importance of Easter Sunday to your people.
Use your internal communication tools (newsletters, emails, bulletins, etc.) to remind your church that Easter is coming on Sunday, April 24 and to share how they can be praying for the Big Day.
2- Schedule special prayer meetings to pray and prepare for Easter.
Invite your church to gather together and ask for God’s blessing and provision as you reach out to your community.
Make these meetings intentional and focused on praying for all the different aspects of making this the best Easter ever (promotion, personal invitations, worship planning, sermon preparation, openness in the community, etc.).
3- Educate your leadership about the value of biblical fasting.
Use this time of preparation to teach your leaders about the power of fasting for spiritual breakthrough.
Spend some time studying how fasting was used in scripture and showing people fasting really is.
4- Challenge every leader in your church to fast one day a week between now and Easter Sunday, April 24.
Involve leaders at every level of your church in the preparation process by challenging them to set aside one day of each week between now and Easter to fast and pray.
You’ll be amazed at what God does as your leadership team focuses on seeing His will done in your church this Easter!
