Recently I heard a great acrostic from Zig Ziglar – a man I deeply respect – about goals.
Zig is one of America’s most popular motivational speakers and the author of over 25 books, including the classic (and one of my personal favorites) See You At the Top. He’s a committed follower of Christ, and has shared his faith with millions over the last 40 years through live and recorded training events.
Ziglar is also a proponent of goal-setting to help you reach your God-given potential. As you may know, I believe that goals are fundamentally statements of faith – faith in what God wants to achieve through you.
And on a practical level, developing a habit of goal-setting in all the different areas of your life is a proven method to increase your motivation, productivity and sense of fulfillment.
That’s why this acrostic really hit home with me (and I hope it will with you too):
Godly
Objectives
Assure
Lasting
Success
See, I told you it was good!
As we wrap up 2010 (only a few weeks left) and prepare for what 2011 might hold, now is a great time to set some Godly Goals (or re-visit the goals you’ve already set).
P.S. If you’re ready to see a marked increase in your productivity, check out my three-hour resource called “Setting and Achieving Godly Goals” – it’s available as an Immediate Download or a 3-CD Set.
