Magic Words to Improve Your Worship Services – Part 2

power-of-words-577x600

Last week in this multi-part series, I shared two powerful phrases that I use at The Journey Church during our Sunday worship services. Today I’ll share the next two phrases that can help you improve the life-changing impact of your worship services each week.

Magic Phrase #3: “Let’s Pray”
We want to serve as a guide to first-time guests and long-time members. Again, here you must clearly tell people what to do. Don’t just start praying and expect people to know it’s a time to connect with God! New people don’t. Members get confused.

Guide them and be clear on how you direct them so they can feel part of the service.

Magic Phrase #4: “Turn and say hello to someone you haven’t met”
This is the greeting time. Normally this will be coming out of a worship set and transitioning to the hosting time. The part of the phrase to emphasize here is “someone you haven’t met.” Many of your first-time guests will want to keep to themselves but this gives them an opportunity to connect. And at the same time those who are more extroverted get to experience that friendly atmosphere.

But remember to keep it brief; it’s a short greeting time, not for catching up with everyone.

Join me next Monday when I share the final three Magic Phrases to Improve Your Worship Services.
