In this four-part blog series, we’ve looked at the six primary ways God grows you and how to develop an effective personal growth plan anchored by four cornerstones.
In last week’s post I shared the first two cornerstones. Here are the other two:
Cornerstone #3: Seminars and Conferences
Now there’s no shortage of conferences vying for your attendance. Be selective – focus on conferences and seminars that help both you and your church advance toward the purposes God has for you. (I do have a suggestion in this area — visit www.RPConference.com for more details)
Cornerstone #4: Personal Coaching
Fulfilling your calling inherently means rising to the highest level of potential God has put in you. In order to reach your potential, you need a coach. You need a current practitioner who can give you applicable tools to meet you where your church is today and help you move it toward the future. My life’s great passion is coaching church leaders who are committed to partnering with God to unleash the full redemptive potential of their churches. You can’t always control the circumstances you face. And you can’t control what God wants to do in you through the Holy Spirit. But you can control how you cooperate with Him and you can develop a personal growth plan in the spirit of cooperation with Him.
