Recharge with a Tech Free Day – Part 2 of 3

In last week’s introduction to this three-part series, I proposed the idea of doing a digital detox.

It’s time to take control of the technology in your life. To do this, I challenge you to schedule a Tech Free Day. You will literally unplug from all digital connections.

I’ve personally been practicing this myself for a few years. Sometimes I do a true Tech Free day where I only interact with paper and books for six to eight hours. Other times, it’s shorter periods where I avoid screens and data.

Place becomes important for this to succeed. For me, my best Tech Free days have come when I’m holed up in the back of library or have planned a morning in a semi-secluded area of a park.

Here are just a few ideas for things you can do during your Tech Free Day:

  • Read
  • Rest
  • Cook
  • Talk to others in person
  • Walk / Exercise
  • Pray
  • Volunteer
  • Brainstorm
  • Visit your local library

Join me next week for the conclusion of this three-part series.
