This Fall, just three blocks south of the US Capitol, a 430,000-square-foot Bible museum is scheduled to open. It’s designed to provide people with an immersive and personalized experience on the history and the impact of the Bible. To learn more about the museum, visit Museumofthebible.org.
This museum reminds us of the importance of being students of the Bible and students of the history of the Bible. Study after study shows us that today Bible reading has become less widespread, especially among the youngest adults.
Even if you can’t make it to Washington DC, I challenge you to seek out local exhibits on the Bible. At the same time, you’ve got to teach your people about the Bible, not just from the Bible. Make sure your people not just read it, but also understand why they can trust it.
