Multiply Your Impact Strategically (Part 4 of 4)

For the conclusion of this four-part series on Advanced Strategic Concepts, I want to wrap things up with the below key related law.

The Law of Spiritual Readiness: God will never give us more than we are prepared to receive.

I’ve seen this happen many times over — Your level of preparation is directly linked to the number of people God will send to your church.

If you don’t prepare while you are waiting for the harvest, you are essentially undercutting the future crop that God wants to bring you. God has given every single one of us a responsibility and a commission to prepare for the harvest. Here’s an example:

One time I was planning to do an evangelistic push at The Journey that involved a free gift. I was going to give a gift — a new book I had been recommending — to everyone who brought a friend with them the next week. In preparation, we went out and bought 200 of the books. Guess how many guests we had? 186. What if we had only bought 100 books? I venture to say that we would have had less than 100 guests. On the other hand, what if we had bought 400 books? I’m convinced that God would have brought us even more first-timers. We prepare and plan — and then trust that God will bring the increase.

Take a first step today to apply one of these principles to your ministry. Your plan to be a better leader — your preparation now — puts you in a good position for God’s blessing!
